December 10, 2023. The Innovation and Associative Entrepreneurship Program (PIEA) has transformed the Costa Rican entrepreneurial landscape. For four years, VIVA Idea, in collaboration with other institutions, has promoted the growth and innovation of MSMEs through training, mentoring and financing programs, benefiting hundreds of entrepreneurs and strengthening the local economy.

Improving their own environment, the quality of life of their family and community, while generating spaces for innovation from entrepreneurship with the strengthening or creation of inclusive business initiatives is part of the objectives of VIVA Idea, together with the International Organization for Migration (OIM) with the contribution of USAID in the northern part of Costa Rica with the program “I contribute to my community”, which will be developed during August and September 2022.
Impact investing is a concept increasingly used in the world of investment, philanthropy and social action.
Increasingly, we hear that companies or organizations are committing to investments that, in addition to the financial return, generate a positive impact on the environment and people. Is there a favorable legal environment for this type of investment? Everything indicates that there are steps in the right direction and that there is still a long way to go in terms of public policies and the actions of organizations dedicated to the subject.
